Coliving Spaces in Long Beach

Love LA, but looking for a more relaxed atmosphere? Then Long Beach is your next coliving destination. A fantastic playground set up for water and beach lovers alike. Long Beach is sat right on the coast and is blessed with over 11 miles of beached shoreline. Just imagine dipping your nomadic toes in that sandy beach, and relaxing.

To make travel easy, a free shuttle bus runs up down the length of the shore. Out on the water, there are stand up paddleboarding trips on the Duffy electric boat, and whale-watching trips to enjoy.

Onshore, there’s also plenty to do. Such as the Long Beach’s Ocean Aquarium and the extremely popular RMS Queen Mary, which is an out of service ocean liner and museum all in one. You can even stay a night if you want. Now that’s a bit of luxury! For Disney loving nomads, you can take a short trip over to Disneyland, Universal Studios Hollywood. Be aware though, that in April Long Beach becomes extremely busy due to the annual Toyota Grand Prix, so you may want to avoid visiting then.

A top recommendation for any remote worker looking for a bit of art culture that goes beyond the norm is the Museum of Latin American Art, as well as the Pacific Island Ethnic Art Museum - both places show diverse artists from different cultures. On your days off, wander down Retro Row, where you’re bound to find a thrift shop bargain or three. There’s also the East Village Arts District to check out. Full of quaint shops, galleries, and cafes you can work from. On the second Saturday of each month, the streets are closed off for art vendors. Don’t miss out.

Travelwise, Long Beach is served by the Blue Line light rail, which runs from Downtown Long Beach to Downtown LA. As a smaller area to explore, biking is a great option to soak up the sun, and if you care to, spend some time walking the 81 miles of beaches and 64 miles of walking trails and bikeway, All of which makes this a dream coliving location.
